Why Discovery and Voice Had to Be Designed Together
Most social products add voice after building a text or image feed. That is useful when voice is only a convenience feature. Here, voice was part of the community model: interest selection and locality-aware discovery help a person find a relevant conversation before asking them to speak. The trade-offs are real. Voice needs reliable mobile recording and playback, clear group rules, reporting, and privacy-aware location controls. Use a generic feed when broad broadcasting is the goal; build this deeper interaction model when relevance and conversation quality matter more than passive reach.
